The DCI Ryan Mysteries Volume 6-10 gathers five gripping crime novels from bestselling author LJ Ross into one paperback set: Cragside, Dark Skies, Seven Bridges, The Hermitage, and Longstone. Set against the atmospheric backdrop of Northumbria, this collection follows DCI Ryan and his team of detectives as they untangle five separate, self-contained cases filled with buried secrets, cold-case chills, and small-town tension. Perfect for devoted fans wanting to binge the series without waiting between releases, and equally ideal for newcomers looking for a satisfying entry point into one of the UK's most popular modern crime series.
About the Books
This five-book paperback set continues the acclaimed DCI Ryan Mysteries series by LJ Ross, moving readers through books six to ten of her bestselling Northumbria-set crime saga. Each novel stands alone as a complete mystery, yet together they build a richly layered world around Detective Chief Inspector Maxwell Ryan and the loyal team of investigators who surround him. The stories draw on real Northumberland landmarks and landscapes, from the grand halls of Cragside to the ancient hermitage at Warkworth Castle, using setting as a character in its own right. Ross is known for blending tight procedural detail with atmospheric suspense, and this collection showcases that skill across five distinct cases: a country-house death disguised as an accident, a decades-old disappearance resurfacing from a reservoir, a fugitive killer stalking Newcastle's streets, an unexplained death inside a historic hermitage, and a Viking treasure hoard tied to a modern-day crime. Readers consistently praise the series for its fast pacing, believable characters, and the way Ross balances Ryan's professional discipline with his personal life and relationships. This set is a natural next step for anyone who has enjoyed the earlier DCI Ryan titles, and it also works well as a standalone introduction for new readers drawn to twisty, character-driven British crime fiction. With five full-length novels in one paperback collection, it offers excellent value and hours of page-turning entertainment for fans of authors like Ann Cleeves, Peter James, and Angela Marsons.

About the Author
LJ Ross is the pen name of Louise Ross, a bestselling British crime writer from Northumberland whose DCI Ryan Mysteries have sold millions of copies worldwide. She turned down a traditional publishing deal to self-publish her debut novel, Holy Island, in 2015, and went on to launch her own imprint, Dark Skies Publishing, to bring print editions of her books to stores. Ross studied law at King's College, University of London, and worked as a lawyer before pursuing her writing career full time. She continues to set her novels in the atmospheric landscapes of North East England.
