Granolah, the last survivor of the Cerealian race, has spent his life training for revenge against the Saiyans who destroyed his people, and his explosive showdown with Goku and Vegeta anchors the opening volumes of this set. As the story unfolds, the manipulative Heeters are revealed to be pulling the strings behind Granolah's quest, setting up a far more dangerous threat in Gas, the Heeters' strongest fighter. Written by Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou, these volumes keep the series' trademark mix of explosive battles, surprising twists, and the found-family warmth between Goku, Vegeta, and their allies. Readers watch Goku and Vegeta push toward new transcendent forms as they scramble to catch up to Gas's terrifying power, while longtime side characters like Monaito and Granolah's backstory add real emotional weight to the fighting. Each paperback volume runs 192 pages in the compact 5 x 7.5 inch trim size VIZ uses across the Shonen Jump line, making this set easy to read on the go or display together on a shelf. Whether you're catching up on the anime's source material or continuing a collection that started with the earlier volumes, this five-book run delivers some of the most pivotal fights in the modern Dragon Ball Super story.

Key Benefits

Collects five consecutive volumes (16-20) of the ongoing Dragon Ball Super manga in one set

Written by original Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama with art by Toyotarou

Covers the complete Granolah the Survivor story arc from first clash to climax

Brand new paperback copies in the compact VIZ Shonen Jump trim size

Perfect for fans following the anime who want to read ahead in the manga

Great gift for birthdays, holidays, or back-to-school reading for teen and adult manga fans

Book-by-Book Guide
Dragon Ball Super, Vol. 16 — Goku and Vegeta's confrontation with Granolah intensifies as the Cerealian survivor unleashes the full force of his trained power.
Dragon Ball Super, Vol. 17 — Vegeta begins piecing together why Granolah hates the Saiyans so fiercely, even as the Heeters' manipulation pushes the fight further.
Dragon Ball Super, Vol. 18 — Granolah and Goku's battle reaches its climax while Monaito reveals the long-hidden truth about planet Cereal.
Dragon Ball Super, Vol. 19 — Granolah's assault forces Gas to reveal his true nature, unleashing an attack unlike anything the heroes have faced.
Dragon Ball Super, Vol. 20 — Goku and Vegeta race to master their ultra forms as they prepare to take on Gas, the universe's strongest warrior.

About the Authors
Akira Toriyama (1955-2024) was the creator of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dr. Slump, and also contributed character designs for video games including Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger.
