Overview
The Rain Wild Chronicles gathers Robin Hobb's four-book saga of dragons, keepers, and a lost Elderling city into one paperback set. Dragons have returned weak and malformed, and a band of outcast keepers is tasked with guiding them upriver toward the legendary city of Kelsingra. Across Dragon Keeper, Dragon Haven, City of Dragons, and Blood of Dragons, readers follow a sprawling cast through treacherous jungle waterways, shifting alliances, and hard-won discoveries. Hobb's dense world-building and character-driven storytelling reward fans of immersive, long-form epic fantasy.

About the Books
Set within Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings, the Rain Wild Chronicles follows the aftermath of a dragon migration gone wrong: the serpents that fought their way up the acidic Rain Wild River hatch not as glorious dragons but as stunted, deformed hatchlings. A ragtag group of Rain Wilds outcasts, marked and changed by their harsh environment, is recruited as "keepers" to guide these fragile creatures upriver in search of the fabled lost city of Kelsingra, said to hold answers about the vanished Elderling civilization. Chief among the keepers is Thymara, born with black claws that should have marked her for exposure at birth, alongside Tats and a shifting circle of companions. Supporting them is the liveship Tarman and its captain, Leftrin, along with Alise Finbok, who has fled a loveless marriage in Bingtown to study dragons firsthand. As the expedition pushes deeper into uncharted waters, bonds form between keepers and dragons and old prejudices are tested. City of Dragons and Blood of Dragons bring the voyage to its climax as Kelsingra is finally found, its buried memories reshaping everyone who encounters them, while the dragons' survival hangs on secrets the city has kept for centuries. Hobb weaves maritime adventure, political intrigue, and intimate character study into one sustained narrative, revisiting favorite settings from her Liveship Traders books while charting new territory.
