Overview
Give the curious young reader in your life a passport to the inner workings of history's greatest structures and machines with Stephen Biesty's Incredible Cross-Sections 6-Book Collection Box Set. This brand-new hardcover bundle gathers six celebrated titles into one sturdy, easy-to-store box, perfect for a home library, classroom shelf, or holiday gift. Inside, dramatic gatefold spreads unfold to reveal astonishing cutaway views of a medieval castle, a wooden warship, the human body, and dozens of everyday machines. Six full-color posters extend the fun onto bedroom and classroom walls, turning learning into visual discovery for science- and history-loving kids.

About the Books
Stephen Biesty made his name in the 1990s with a groundbreaking illustration technique: the exploded, gatefold cross-section that slices open a building, vehicle, or body to show every layer of activity happening inside at once. This six-book collection brings together his most beloved titles from that landmark series, spanning castles, warships, human anatomy, and the mechanics of everyday life. Readers begin at a towering 14th-century castle, wandering from the great hall down to the dungeon while soldiers, cooks, and craftsmen go about their work. From there, they climb aboard an 18th-century man-of-war, exploring gun decks, rigging, and cramped crew quarters on a working warship. Inside the human body, systems from skeleton to circulation are peeled back layer by layer, while two further volumes turn their gatefolds toward the machines, buildings, and vehicles that keep the modern world running, from jumbo jets to chocolate factories. Each page rewards close looking: hidden characters, fun facts, and meticulously labeled diagrams invite readers to linger far longer than a typical picture book. The included poster book pulls six of the most striking illustrations onto oversized sheets, ideal for a bedroom wall, classroom display, or homeschool lesson. Together, the six books and six posters form a complete, hands-on encyclopedia of how things are built and how they work, blending rigorous research with the kind of playful detail that keeps young readers coming back to the same page again and again, spotting something new every time.
